Public Houses

Mobberley has seven inns in existence today, although in the past there were many more. Some of these have been retained as farms or private houses. Of the remaining Inns, the" Church Inn" the "Bull's Head " and the "Roebuck" appear to have been established during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, whilst the "Plough and Flail", the "Bird in Hand", "Chapel House", and the " Rail-way Inn" are of slightly later date.
