Mobberley Cricket Club

ABOVE: A view of the Mobberley Cricket Club ground, with the pavilion in the background.

The original cricket ground was in the field to the south of the St. Wilfreds church, with records showing the first annual meeting of the Cricket Club was in 1877. Since then cricket has been played in a field behind the Dairy farm and on Mobberley Park where ''Mobberley Rangers Football Club' now play. The present site was given to the Club by A Mr. Payne of the Manor House.
